Are you ready for summer and festival season? Can’t decide between a beach holiday and a music festival? Luckily you don’t have to choose!

After their huge success last year Bands in the Sands is back for 2017 and promises to deliver more incredible summer nights on Perranporth beach in Cornwall. Created by the organisers of The Watering Hole (the UK’s only venue on a beach) and Tunes in the Dunes festival this promises to be a series of events like no other. You’ll enjoy amazing live national and international acts with a stunning sun sea and sand backdrop. Last year we saw the likes of Seal, Billy Ocean, The Darkness and Scouting for Girls.

Boasting a career spanning six decades we can’t wait to see Tom belt out hits such as ‘Sex Bomb’, ‘Delilah’ and ‘It’s Not Unusual.’ For the second event of the series american blues musician Seasick Steve will take to the stage. Seeing him on the beach this summer will truly be something special.

They’ve spent a total of 181 weeks on the singles and albums charts combined with their own releases as of 2016, and have accumulated 25 top 75 singles between 1997 and 2012. In July they’ll be blowing us away on Perranporth beach! One of the best known ska and rock steady groups of all time, Toots and the Maytals are the headliners of the fifth event of the series. Formed in the 1960s they were key figures in popularizing reggae music.

If you’re looking for something a little different take a trip to St Michael’s Mount, a small rocky tidal Island filled with history, myths and legends. Explore the fairytale castle, church, harbour and coastal gardens. Even when the bands have packed up and left you’ll enjoy exploring Perranporth beach. The beach itself is big enough that you’ll often feel like you have the entire thing to yourself. The Watering Hole serves snacks and drinks and the extensive sand dunes are teeming with wildlife.

After all that adventure you’ll love coming home to Liskey Hill. The holiday park boasts a pool table, BBQ area, even a launderette and payphone! Worried about the lack of signal in Cornwall?
